The Big Easter Reveal

Easter Sunday was the day we chose to share the news of our pregnancy with our families.  We were still a bit early at around nine weeks, but we wanted to tell everyone when they were together, so we decided Easter would be a great day to do it!

To tell my little sisters, we wanted to do something special because we knew how excited they would be.  I ordered a onesie from Etsy to spill the beans to them, seen below.
Then we found a big Easter egg to put the onesie in along with our latest ultrasound picture.  We put it in an Easter basket and covered it with candy so it wouldn't be obvious right away.

My mom was so great!  She agreed to have breakfast at her old/our new house on Easter morning after church.  We had actually moved them out the day before, but she made a wonderful breakfast for us so we could invite our immediate family over to share the news. My mom & stepdad, sisters, stepgrandparents, grandma, along with a close aunt and uncle and cousins were there.

While we were waiting for the meal to finish cooking, Brent ran out to the truck and grabbed the basket.  I asked my stepdad to video (since he already knew), so the video is below.  It didn't take them long to figure out what was going on!  Then the squealing and yelling begins!
From there, we went to Brent's granny Mac's house.  Brent has an uncle there that makes is always making fun of Brent's mom saying that she is getting old.  So Brent told him that his mom was getting really old now, since she's going to be a grandma.  Everyone caught on very quickly there as well!

Then we stopped by my dad's side Easter lunch.  His dad, my grandfather, died long before I was born, and my grandma died when I was only 3.  So I'm not very close with that side of the family, but I knew my aunts and uncles would want to hear the news from us.  So we dropped by and told them.

For supper, we went to Brent's grandma & grandpa's house.  Brent just came out and said that we were pregnant when everyone was in line to eat!

In all, we had such a wonderful Easter sharing our good news!
